We grow a number of hardneck and softneck garlic varieties.  Below, you will find a list of the current varieties we are growing for harvest this 2025 season. We sell garlic individually by the bulb size or by the pound:

Hard neck: Stem hardens upon drying. More potent flavors. Stores for a shorter period than soft-neck varieties.

• B Bogatyr: Very rare variety, one of our hottest at the finish raw or cooked. This is Fred’s favorite!

• GC Georgian Crystal: Rich, hot, buttery taste; great for roasting. This is Chris’s favorite!

• IP Italian Purple: Creamy, mild flavor. Rich undertones and medium heat. Like your grandma used to cook with!

• M Music: The cooks love this! Porcelain variety that has a very consistent taste and our most common variety.

• RR Romanian Red: Long lasting taste. Spicy and nutty finish.

• RUS Russian Red: Purple bulbs that, when raw, have lasting medium-hot heat. When cooked, has a subtle, complex flavor and somewhat sweet aftertaste. 

 

Soft Neck: No discernible stem. Not as potent but stores well. More closely related to mass-grown varieties.

• CW California White: Brought in from Napa Valley. We purchased this variety in wine country; smooth and mild.

• FH French Heirloom: This one only gets better when cooked, nice heirloom variety. Subtle, sweet, and gentle flavor.

• IR Inchelium Red: Mild yet robust flavor that lingers. Medium heat. National taste-test winner. One of Sarah’s favorites!

• L Lorz Italian: Artichoke variety that can have slightly more heat than traditional Italian garlic. Long-lasting aftertaste.
